We are so excited to be doing our Terry Fox Run tomorrow! Please remind students to wear good running shoes and clothes! Below is more information regarding the event.  Tuscany School will be participating in the Terry Fox Run this year on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 22nd. Students will be taking part in a virtual warm-up video in their classrooms to kick off this event followed by the run around the school and community field during staggered times throughout the afternoon.  Terry’s goal when he started his Marathon of Hope was for every Canadian to donate $1 for cancer research. Inspired by Terry’s goal, Tuscany School has set a goal for our Terry Fox Run this year to raise “A Toonie for Terry” for every staff and student to donate to The Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research.   Bonjour! Today we had our first visit to the library! Our library day is Tuesday. Please bring books back to school before Tuesday of the following week so that students can sign out new books each week!  We talked to students about taking good care of books such as not folding pages, spilling water bottles, or having them chewed by pets! Please remind students to take care and have so much fun reading!

Bonjour! Oki! Welcome!  I am so excited to be teaching our wonderful class of Grade 1-2s this year! We have an amazing group of students who are so keen to learn and make our classroom a wonderful environment. We have had lots of fun already learning about classroom routines and expectations, and learning to be a good friend. Our guiding concept has been 'belonging' which we have been looking at how we all belong to our classroom community and how we can also make sure others feel like they belong. Ask your student one way they can make our class somewhere everyone is seen (hint: ask them to tell you about 'The Invisible Boy')! We have made beautiful number lines out of beads (see below) to help support us in math this year, and we have explored lots of great books as a class. We can't wait to show off more of our amazing learning! Stay tuned!
